Hi I'm Margaret, but family and friends call me Momma
I fell in love on the first day I met my husband. We call him Pops.
We have been married for over forty two years and I'm not going to lie, we have seen the best and worst of marriage life.
We have two children, Sarah and Martin, Martin has two amazing children but which Momma would tell you any different.
We arrived in Northumberland 12 years ago and have never looked back.
Living in the country side is so different to living in Gateshead in so many ways. Many say its too far to travel to work, its bleak in the winter and is always 2 degrees colder from Newcastle.
I love looking out onto fields, hearing no traffic and the sounds of the animals and birds that surround me. The log and coal fire that warms me, the clear sky's and the mass of stars we see in the darkness.
I really do feel grateful for the home I have and that's why I wish to share these things with you.
Things have not always been an easy journey.
We have lost every thing, built and lost again during our life together. We have cried and laughed, parted and reunited, loved and hated, made friends and lost them, but in this life who hasn't.
I have suffered with depression and have been on medication for as long as I can remember. In the main I can cope, however in times of stress and circumstances beyond my control, I can lock myself away for weeks and hide from life. never wishing to return.
This blog is not just for you its for me too, a distraction a means to escape for me.
